This is the original powerpoint that we developed in 2005 to represent the philosophical and practical aspirations of our group. The actual dates on the powerpoint are fluid, but the thinking still guides us in our work. Some of the concepts, such as the Village, has become the Green Garage project.

About Us

The Great Lakes Green Initiative is currently comprised of about 30 individuals, residing in the Detroit metropolitan area, Oregon and California, who have decided to come together in an effort to promote environmental sustainability. A small group meets weekly, and the larger group, monthly. The project began in earnest in September, 2005, and is in the concept formation stage. The material below represents the current thinking of the project and where we see ourselves heading.
